A SECOND MILE is a recognized charity in the State of California with a pending 501c3 Non-profit status.  The organization was founded by Angelia Watts, in 2013.  The foundation is based in Southern California and serves the community with the many resources at it's disposal made possible by private donors, corporate sponsors and grants.

 

The main goal of A Second Mile is to be the medium between disenfranchised boys and dedicated mentors who want to make a difference.  Our programs are aimed to foster positive self confidence and are designed to enhance overall wellbeing and success.  This sometimes means getting the whole family involved.  We have created a support system for moms who are going at it alone and are in need of resources, support and encouragement. 

 

It is our hope to establish programs to enable reunification with disengaged fathers and their children.  We want to establish resources that will assist in removing the obstacles which prevent some fathers from parenting effectively. It is our future goal to become an effective constituant in the reunification process.

 

Ultimately, It is our desire to see lives impacted and changed for the better.
